Meet the owner

Julie Diehl is a Louisville-based artist working primarily in oils and pastels. Her work ranges from expressive bird portraits—particularly raptors like owls and hawks—to evocative landscapes that capture the character of place.

She earned her BFA from the Art Academy of Cincinnati, where she developed her foundations in oil painting, photography, and collage. After relocating to Louisville from Cincinnati in 2000, Julie embraced Kentucky's vibrant arts community and was a juried member of the Louisville Artisan's Guild.

In addition to her fine art practice, Julie brings over
35 years of graphic design experience to her work, which informs her keen eye for composition and visual storytelling. She currently showcases her art on Fine Art America and soon on Finerworks, and is expanding into surface pattern design for art licensing.

Julie lives in Louisville with her husband Bob.
